The lifestyle Manly offers means that, more and more, people want to be able to cycle around their neighborhood to connect to transport, go to the shops, get to school or just for fun/exercise.
We have undertaken an extensive audit of what is provided for cyclists in Manly, everything from bike racks to cycle lanes and dedicated bicycle paths. For a community that loves to cycle - a great deal more can be done to provide safer commuter & recreational cycling in our area.
We invite you to read our discussion paper which includes research on providing a proper cycleway at North Head, creating a 'bike street' in Short Street Plaza, better bike racks & security and the introduction of bike lanes in Seaforth/Balgowlah.
We welcome your ideas and comments.
