'Ferry Outrage...' by the Daily Mail

This is a newspaper you really don't want as an enemy.  Fortunately, they're on our side in the fight to save the Manly ferries.  Of course they are - the made-in-Australia Freshwater ferries are loved by kids, oldies, families, bike riders, wheelchair users, everyone... who wants to savour the trip across stunning Sydney Harbour.

The Oz edition of the UK tabloid is not subtle, but it's on the money. Read the rest here.

Dear Sir/Madam
This is Louise. I am writing this email is in regarding the matter of Manly Ferries.
I shocked when I heard the icons of the Manly and Sydney harbour would be gone and instead it would be small vessels MADE IN CHINA! Those classic Manly ferries are not old and still running very good –actually running perfect I think. And, the colour of ferries are Australia colours, just we like. Why change ferries? Who’s idea?
Please, you must tell the people why and who is trying to destroy those well performing classic ferries and buy the vessels from CHINA because you and the government are paid by the Australia people?
I come from China, I well know how “good” the China Communist Party (CCP) at corruption. And, the fact is all the business in China are controlled by CCP, another words, all big business in China are actually owned by CCP. It is well known CCP is one of most corrupt gang in the world.
I would like to ask: the reason to buy vessels from China is that because of CCP’s is doing the corruption way ? is anyone get secret benefits from CCP through the vessels trade with CCP? Everyone knows that CCP even could secretly give someone profit not to the person who deal business with – CCP could give the black profit to the person’s children or in other kind of form so the corruption would not easy to be found. I really wish it would not happen in Australia.
I do not and never want to see CCP’s ferries in Sydney harbour – that’s the reason I am in Australia.
Thank you very much for your time to read my letter.

Kind regards
Louise

Totally agree. Really baffling this decision to replace a well-loved icon with ferries from China of all places.

Would not be surprised in the least if corruption is involved this being a Chinese company. This simply must not be allowed to happen.
