Get Involved
A thriving community relies on its citizens getting involved. What’s your interest? How do you want to participate?
The ‘village’ atmosphere that Manly is famous for translates into a friendly welcome to newcomers whether it be talking to someone at the next table in the local coffee shop, random acts of kindness, sharing a laugh or getting involved in a cause.
Do you want to join a Club? Become a Volunteer? Get involved in a cause?

North Head Sanctuary Foundation - Volunteers wanted! This community group is doing an incredible job re-vegetating our bush land backyard at North Head. It’s a big job, so keen gardeners and bush-lovers are always needed. Volunteers with an interest in the bushland, history and heritage of North Head are also needed to help staff the ‘Bandicoot Heaven’ education room 10am-4pm on weekends. Contact Jenny Wilson at [email protected] or call 0414 735 350.
Penguin Protectors neededMore volunteer penguin protectors are needed to watch over nesting areas in Manly during the breeding season. Call the local National Parks & Wildlife Service office on 9960 6266 for more information.
