How to Vote?

The next local government elections will be held on Saturday, 8 September 2012.

At this upcoming election, only 9 Councillors are being elected as against the current 12,  as a reduction in number was approved at a referendum conducted at the September 2008 election.  The Mayor is elected by popular vote.

Good for Manly is running six independent candidates for Council, including Candy Bingham for Mayor

Postal Votes

There are two ways you can apply to be a postal voter:
  • by completing an online application or
  • by completing a form, and returning it to the NSW Electoral Commission NSWEC.
If you are already registered as a General Postal Vote, you do not need to apply for a postal vote; you will be automatically sent your ballot papers.

At the time of an election, application forms for postal votes will be available from votensw.info, or through the NSWEC Election Enquiries Centre.

If you need to vote by post, be sure to have your application in early so that voting material can be sent to you before election day.
